Photo gels are a must have for any studio! Gels are colored transparencies that can be placed over a strobe light to shine a different color on the backdrop. I used a black backdrop in these photos and then changed out the gels to see what it looked like. I can't wait to try it on a white backdrop...Pretty cool!
I now need to buy a steamer to remove the wrinkles in the backdrop:)

In the seventies, they used gels and transparencies with drops of water and oil to make psychedelic backgrounds. I wonder if that could be done for a photo? Might be cool if it could be rigged up somehow!
